Who is excited about the Venus Eclipse?

Is this what is messing with Librans? This year is just not looking very good for myself and my Libra friends. Oddness.

I'm not, especially. I don't think it'll be much visible from here, except perhaps the very end of it. But more to the point, it's not an event with much meaning to me. It's not an annual thing, so it doesn't tell me when to strike winter camp or plant tomatoes. It's not part of the map of the earth and/or heavens. There are no stories surrounding it, telling how Coyote did this or Bear did that. The Horses feel no kinship for this particular event.

It's just another in an infinite series of meaningless astronomical happenstances. Very cool, certainly, but without much meaning in my worldview. So I'm certainly mildly interested... But definitely not excited.

When the time come, i was just a silly lass with no telescope...and not seeing it made it VERY insignificant.
Because i resonate with astrology, i found myself quite amazed at the rollercoaster ride emotional day i had, and i am a venus born sign.
I see your viewpoint, as always, thankyou for sharing.

I am sorry to learn it did not live up to its hype. *comfort*

I'm told that in the Arab world, the even was eagerly observed, discussed, shared amongst all those who were interested. A thousand years ago, Persia was a centre of learning; of science and astronomy. It is fascinating to learn that the drive for such knowledge still exists in that part of the globe.
