Birth Totem Crow is an individual whose outer personality is driven by the Quest to bond with Another.

By design, the Crow is a highly curious creature, imbued with a remarkable degree of intelligence. Despite such intelligence, this heightened curiosity will often lead Crow in the path of unforseen danger. As he follows the glimmering call of a shiny penny, he is oblivious to the encroaching threat of an oncoming vehicle, so intent is he upon retrieving the fascinating object.

Birth Totem Crow individuals can become so focused upon the goal of attaining partnership, that other areas of their daily life may tend to be ignored, eventually leading to some crisis of faith, health or practical consideration that will realign them, at least temporarily, to the bills needing to be paid or the vehicle in need of repair.

In Nature, the Crow is part of a community of other Crows, and thus, they are very social, preferring the company of their fellow winged ones (and even the company of two-leggeds), to being alone. Like their Animal Brothers and Sisters, Birth Totem Crow will seek companionship and interactions with Others almost compulsively. The underlying force that drives one who is operating from the Personality Center of this Birth Totem, is a fear of being alone and faced with their own company.

Because so much of the focus and attention for one with this Birth Totem is exerted upon relating to, and pleasing "Others," they have learned very little about themselves and thus, have not developed the relationship with the inner Self that is requisite for a Soul to fully integrate as it moves along the Sacred Hoop of Physical Life.

Once Crow individual takes the time to go WithIn and learn about themselves, their Role along the Red Road, and the Lessons they have chosen to come and learn, they will then discover all of the shiny and fascinating aspects of themselves that they have been blessed with. This may then take them on a Journey toward a deep and abiding relationship to the Self, consequently adding even more to their relationships with Others.

Thus, the attainment of the Higher Intent for this Birth Totem may be had . . . to know true Balance and Harmony.

My roomate went and got a DOG...

I love em, but this house isn't really the greatest space for a dog...the backyard is around the corner down a huge flight of stairs....
I bet i will fall in love with him though...

Anne Armstrong Gibson

is my new inspiration...

She founded the centre i've been attended, which amazes me.
Art therapy, music therapy, reiki, healing touch, therapeutic touch, parent and child support, all FREE...
for people living with cancer....these services appeal to the whole being, whereas so many other therapies tend to just address the body, not the whole being....

The Spirit of Generosity
Generosity means more than just giving. It also means to cooperate with others. The greatest act of generosity is to see beyond the weaknesses of others, helping them to recognise their innate value.

Astral travel [Jun. 12th, 2004|12:22 am]

I'm posting some info i got on the website connected to the course i will be taking...

The Astral Plane is another dimension, or a parallel universe, as a scientist would say. The Astral Plane is the dimension where each one of us go every time we sleep, with our Astral body. It is the land of dreams.

Every night in our dreams we repeat to a greater or lesser degree our daily events, thoughts and feelings. These are often transformed by our psyche into the most ludicrous or fantastic scenarios. Our subconscious projects them into the Astral environment, and this is generally how our dreams are created.

This process is what clouds our perception of the real Astral environment, in much the same way as a daydream stops us from perceiving our physical environment.

Nonetheless, we may sometimes wake in the morning, recalling dreams of places we've never been before. It is very likely that we visited the Astral counterpart of that Physical place, even if it was in a hazy, dreamlike state.

Within the Astral Plane there exists all that exists in the Physical Plane. However, there is much in the Astral Plane that we could never find in the Physical: sacred temples, divine beings, amazing phenomenon...

But sadly, those unconscious thoughts and feelings, many of which we are unaware during the day, are recollected by the subconscious and projected into the Astral realm at night, either making our dream experiences too vague or blocking out the reality of where we are all together. This is one of the reasons why the Gnostic Movement teaches in-depth about Awareness and its development in our lives. This prolongs and intensifies our Astral experiences.

Astral Travel is very different to normal dreaming. It is an extraordinary experience. All who have experienced it can testify to its lucidity and magical quality.

It is interesting that conscious Astral Travel is experienced as clearly as we experience our daily life. In fact, it is even experienced more clearly at times: our senses seem sharper and the environment somehow more real.

It is often considered that Astral Travel (Out-of-Body Experiences) is only encountered by people that have had a near death experience after an accident or on the operating table. But Astral Travel is a natural possibility that anyone can develop through practice.

The Gnostic Movement teaches how to Astral Project (to pass consciously from the Physical Plane to the Astral Plane) with very successful results. One such practice of Astral Projection simply allows us to become aware of the natural process of going to sleep. If we manage to be aware of this, then we consequently become aware of our departure into the Astral Plane as well.

So when we are Astral Traveling, we are aware of the fact that we are physically asleep and that our physical body is at home in bed. We know we are actually in this other plane, as opposed to the dreamer who only realizes they were not in the physical plane upon waking the next morning. While Astral Traveling we make conscious decisions - like where to go, what to do, or who to meet.

In the Astral the sky is not the limit. One can fly way beyond the blue sky, into deep space exploring the planets. One can consciously project to any part of the world through concentration...

We can fly through the air, having a birds eye view of what is below, traveling across the surface of our huge planet...

Imagine being able to glide over the ocean like a seagull, or being able to penetrate into it and breath beneath it like a fish...

We can meet enlightened beings, even of distant ancient traditions, who can help guide us along the Spiritual Path. Or we can even attend true esoteric schools and temples to learn much about the mysteries of life and death...

There is all sorts of hidden knowledge one can acquire through Astral Projection, knowledge that cannot be acquired in every day life, from other people or books.

This is the reason why many want to Astral Travel - to acquire knowledge through experience about ourselves, about the Earth, the Universe, or anything we want to.

All of this is available to us through Astral Travel. It is something worth experiencing and verifying.
